Very authentically Gujarati cooking as practiced in many Indian households here in New Zealand. Ingredients can easily be found, explanations are clear and the outcomes are magnificent.
Always wanted my own masala dhaba and so when Jayshri and Laxmi had them available with the spices inside, I just had to get one and I just love it! Thank you guys so much!
To be honest, I use the cookbook in the kitchen when I'm cooking - sitting on my bookstand. But I have the ebook on my phone so when I'm at the supermarket and decide I want to cook something from this cookbook, I can look up the ingredients instantly. Love having both options -Trust me, if you have the physical book, you'll want the ebook aswell.

With being busy this makes life so much easier - great idea!
I love how these labels are of such good quality, they don't scratch, and I can wash my jars without worrying about damaging the label. Finally, my pantry is organised. They don't come off easily, so it pays to get it right in the first place. My mum loves them too, so we are sorting out her pantry to get her a full set - altho her pantry is 3 times the size of mine with all the spices and food she has!
A company that goes the extra mile for their clients. Really looking forward to trying out all these delicious, traditional Gujarati recipes.

I have also purchased the Gujarati/English spice labels. Great for passing on knowledge of the Gujarati language to kids and grandkids. Both highly recommended. Wishing you all the best, Jayshri and Laxmi! x

A Gujarati Language of Love
"Like many first-generation families growing up in New Zealand, our language of love was not in a verbal language of "I Love You", not in a physical language of hugs, but in a language that they were shown by their parents, which they passed on to the next generation. The Indian Language of Love: Food"
Christchurch Indian cookbook preserves family recipes
Jayshri Ganda came up with the idea of publishing a cookbook of her mum Laxmi's recipes, as a way of documenting what has been passed down from one generation to the next, so that's what they did.
